This thread is dedicated to RockFlorida, Mjollnir, Skydog and the rest of the regulars on the "song threads" Hopefully, they will join in on this thread and have fun too.
Remember the days of the Transistor Radios, your Favorite AM Radio station and the songs you listened too. There was Rock and Roll, Bubble Gum, Soul, and Cross over country. There was American Top 40 with Casey Kasem every Sunday Morning where you could find out where your favorite song on playing on the radio was at on the charts. And Usually on New Years Day Casey would have an all day show counting down the 100 songs of the year.
So this thread is again a lyrics thread, give the lyrics of a song from 1965 to 1984 then someone will name the song, and artist , the only catch on this thread is that the song had to be a top 100 hit, so no "B" songs or album cuts. After you have guessed the song and artist you must start list the lyrics of another song. Also, since these are top 100 songs you should limit the lines of the song to 2 lines , hey we have to have some type of challenge don't we?
One last note: show everyone your favorite AM radio station. The one you use to listen to all the time. If you recognize someone else let them know. You won't believe how many people you can find that will say they use to listen to that station. I know when I was in the military I found people from Illionis who use to listen to my home town station. It was KAAY 1090. Most listened at night from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Clyde Clifford and "Beaker Street".
