Good Tuesday Morning GB10, should be no shortage of posts from Dave today...he's feeling chipper.

I was going to watch the Rangers vs Capitals game last night, but instead my wife and I took the girls out to get new bikes...by the time we got home and put them to bed, I had forgotten all about it.

Dave had three of his four SPs yesterday score over 20 points and Hanson who only scored 7 points wasn't the dismal failure I was hoping at least one of them would be (turns out that he was wise to leave Joe Saunders and his -10 points on the pine)...even most of his hitters had solid performances.  I trail by over 90 points, but now our SPs are about even so I just have to rely on my guys doing what I think they are capable doing and that is each scoring 25 points.

No day games today, but the White Sox face the Indians and Masterson at 7:05 so before I go to bed I should know whether I'm staying alive or living on a prayer...Romero doesn't start pitching in Oakland until after 10:00pm so unless I'm up late I won't know the outcome of his performance until the next morning.

At the time I completed the draft I had no idea that Buster Posey was an undroppable player, but that being said why would I drop a player that I know would be immediately scooped up by another team?  The only reason it is even a minor issue right now is because Evan Longoria is hurt, but he will be back soon enough which gives me time to determine which one I want to ensure I keep.

With Catchers like both Montero players, Avila, and Russell still on active rosters (I'm not even bringing up the possibility of injuries), there is no doubt in my mind that someone will come looking for a solid option at the position sooner or later.  I'm not thinking that anyone will trade for one of these guys straight up, but improving two positions (say C and SP) might be worth parting with a solid batter that I can plug into my Utility slot.  All I need to do is be patient and then set the hook when someone takes the bait.


The important thing for everyone to realize is that both players are likely to get real hot very soon (at least that is what their history suggests) and neither player is leaving my roster so if you want one of them, we are going to have to make a deal.
