Boise inks deal with UT Martin in 2013

May 12, 2012 12:02 pm

I don't know BAMATEE TCU isn't no slouch. I think TCU will hold its own, they will dam sure find it harder to win and it won't be like playing in the peewee league like TCU and Boise have been doing for years. I will say one thing i respect TCU for having the BALLS to jump into the big leagues, something imo Boise is hiding from. Boise is just looking for the most money and the EASIEST teams they can find. That is why they have choosen the BE (slash the WAC).

I give TCU much more credit then Boise but for so many reasons any many of them are probabaly wrong. Mainly smiles!!! lol TCU fans don't go around shouting from the mountina tops that they deserve as much as any other team even with a pee wee schedule. Shel, when you get right down to it TCU, boise and Utah were all respectful progrms but not near the caliber of the teams they want to grow up and be, Here's my thinking. Below is TCU's schedule and how I think they do in them. Smiles had mentioned in another thread how Boise and TCU were so similiar in their programs. that left an opening for me to say les see how TCU does.

Boise has had a 12-1, 11-2, and 13-0 type record for the last severla years and we have hear how no on eelse has done that year after year and they deserve this and that. Well, when TCU loses at LEAST 3 games this year smiles will get a small taste of proof how much s**T he's full of.

  2012 TCU Football Schedule
Sept. 8 - vs. Grambling State        WIN
Sept. 15 - at Kansas*                   WIN but closer then experts think
Sept. 22 - vs. Virginia                   LOSS  slight upset
Sept. 29 - at SMU                         WIN
Oct. 6 - vs. Iowa State*                WIN  but closer then the xperts think
Oct. 13 - at Baylor*                      WIN
Oct. 20 - vs. Texas Tech*              WIN
Oct. 27 - at Oklahoma State*         LOSS
Nov. 3 - at West Virginia*              LOSS
Nov. 10 - vs. Kansas State*           LOSS
Nov. 24 - at Texas*                       LOSS
Dec. 1 - vs. Oklahoma*                 LOSS

That's 6-6. When was powerhouse TCU last 6-6? Get my point? I think they might win some of those games but i think they might lose some of the ones I have them winning. For example, I have them winning @ Kansas,@SMU, Iowa ST. and Texas Tech but they could easily lose one or two of these. However they could win one or two of the others.

The bigger possibility is them losing one of the games I have them winning. Smiles agreed with me the programs were similiar and we would see how TCU does will be interesting.

Shel, do you see me that far off? TCU hasn't played any schedule like this ever. They won't lknow what hit them. The crazy thing is they are more prepared for a schedule like this 10 times more than Boise St could ever be. Lets sit back and enjoy the ride fans!!!

Smilesm sure you Boise Broncos are ready for prime time? Wink

No i don't BAMATEE your probably very close to how it will go. TCU will have it tough from Oklahoma st on down to the end. I would love to see them put Boise st in the Big12 just to see them play a schedule like TCU.

Pretty solid guess.  TCU will likely go somewhere between 7-5 and 5-7 this season being in the Big XII.  TCU hasn't had that kind of record in Forever as they have enjoyed playing in a flag football league.

In fact, if TCU were to still be in the MWC, they would be looking ahead to an UNBEATEN SEASON and Chanting for a National Title Shot.

I find it amusing to continue to teach/explain how Real Football works to these Boise fans.

After you repeatedly told us all how Boise State would lose at least four games last year after losing Titus Young and Austin Pettis, I'll take this prognostication with a grain of salt if you don't mind!

It goes right in the realm of when you once claimed that YOUR team didn't lose to Ore, that same year. Why? Because there was a bad call on a desperation onside kick that denied your team a chance to come back. So therefore you didn't lose.

Hey Genius.  OU didn't kick an onside kick, they recovered Oregon's.  OU wasn't "coming Back", they were winning/won. It wasn't "a" bad call, it was 4 Criminal Calls that got Refs and Booth officials fired and a cancellation of PAC 10/Big XII games.

You see SPINocchio, when someone like you or of your ilk posts, most adults would expect your posts to be accurate and thus showing your knowledge of the subject at hand. But you and your ilk consistently show neither.
Surely I don't need to point out the Irony here.

Why is this off season seemingly much longer than others ... oh, I know why ... threads as useless as these continue on, and on, and on.

Boise fans, your team is good ... let it go.

Non Boise fans, the team is good ... let it go.

If you have not figured out either point ... then you either have not been following college football for the last decade or your an a-hle.

TCU anywhere from 5 and 7 to 6 and 6 to 7 and 5 next year?!  Oh that is good.  Ya'll just crack me up.  Just like Boise would go (insert record here) in (insert conference here).  It's such a joke.

Like Boise, TCU has become one of the best teams in the country.  Watch them play!  And they also finished ranked ahead of every opponent on that schedule last year with the exception of #3 Oklahoma State and Baylor who finished one spot ahead of them at #12.  And all that was done with a young team in a rebuilding year.  Beware Big 12.  TCU is for real and they will be a factor, a big one.  And as I mentioned before as long as Coach Patterson is there you're going to find yourself on the bad side of those games Spinkiller and the rest of you Boise hating Chokelahoma fans.  And it all beings next year at Amon G. Carter Stadium.  And I personally can't wait to see it all go down.  It's going to be beautiful.

TCU 5 and 7 in the Big 12.........what a bunch of arrogant, ignorant Morons.

Hey Genius, do you watch college football?  Do you understand when a team wins? If they keep winning, year-in-an-year-out that is a good indicator they might be good.

Like Boise, TCU has become one of the best teams in the country.  Watch them play!

You are correct.  They are a lot "like boise" in the fact that they are overrated every single year for beating Pudd State School of the Challenged 10 times a year.

I have watched them play far more than you I imagine.  I watched them get Beat by SMU last season.  Did you watch that game? Yeah SMU beat them at TCU's Home Stadium. Happened a few weeks before TCU beat boise at Boise's home stadium.

TCU's new rival in the Big XII will be Baylor and Iowa State.  Write it down.

Let me know if you need a pen.

In case you were wondering, the all time record between Baylor and TCU is 50-50-7.  Since 1990, Baylor leads the series 6-4.

Again, yet another CLEAR indicator as to how well Baylor would do in the MWC or WAC.

Boise fans are hillarious.

1. Ridiculous. Apparently you got basketball and football confused while you typed that and really lost all credibility from there on: TCU 42 Kansas 10

2. Not losing to Virginia at home: Virginia 17 TCU 28

3. I see SMU upsetting TCU here: TCU 27 SMU 28

4. OK St will need a year to rebuild: TCU 31 OK St. 24

5. K-State will also be taking a step backwards this year: K-State 23 TCU 30

6. A slight improvement in 2011 but they have yet to return to the scene: TCU 31 Texas 27

TCU with 5 losses in a row? Get out of here, scrub.

Yeah.  I watched the second half of that game.

I also watched the 5 and 7 (2 and 7 in conference) Texas Tech Red Raiders waltz into Norman on Homecoming and beat the snot out of your Chokelahoma Sooners last season, watched the entire thing and could not believe my eyes.  What a sorry, sorry team Tommy T. fielded last year.  That defense was absolutely horrible!  And you let a team that bad walk into your home stadium and punch you in the face like that.  How incredibly embarrassing.  And yet still all this happened before Ryan Broyles went down.  And did you all watch any of OU's games after Broyles went down?  Man.  Painful to watch.  Just terrible.  And not just Landry Jones who stunk up the field, the entire team really.

The Chokelahoma Sooners folks - the biggest bunch of overrated, underwhelming, choke artists in college football TODAY.  And everyone outside of that flat, dusty, windy, ugly, cesspool of a state who actually understands and follows college football knows it.

Man, I'd love a rematch.  Boise would smoke those monkeys.  And all this is coming from a fan whose team already beat them in the one and only match up that the two teams have had.

Boise4Life i see your running mouth again, 38-41 is not getting the snot beat out of you. Granted OU should of won the game but like most of your ppost your talking out your A$$ again. Well you showed how much you no about college football, call OU the most overrated team in college football.
How would you rate Boise st a team that gets rated, No overrated playing nobodys creampuffs. Now thats overrated. If Boise st played somebody i couldn't say that but they don't.

Did you actually watch the game, Sooner Shel?  I'm assuming you did since you're supposedly such a big OU fan.  The score was 31 to 7 in the third quarter!  After that the vaunted Red Raider defense went into prevent mode and let Chokelahoma back door their way into the game to make it halfway interesting.  Seth Doege passed for 450 yards and OU gave up nearly 600 yards to a pathetic Texas Tech team.......in Norman........on Homecoming.......before your stud WR Broyles went down.  It was an embarrassment and a complete and utter butt kicking.

=======

Georgia is one of the best teams at making comebacks in college history. I still can't believe the comeback to beat VT in the Peach Bowl. Unbelievable.

I was at that game. The VT fans were pretty agressive towards the students but not some much with the older guys.

I was with my father in law who played pro ball, 6-3 about 280. I looked like a mouse at 5 10 225. They didn't mess with us and our other two friends but they were brutal to the students - in the first half. By the late 3rd they were all sitting down and starting to vanish in the 4th. Never have I seen so many, so loud get so quiet - except when Alabama curb stompted us in athens. Another good comeback was Va-Ga in Hawaii in Donnans last game. Quincy (its not what you think its talcom poweder) Carter got us down in the first half and he got "inspired" at halftime and we came from 21 down. You can do that with a mature team and a veteran QB, thats why I'm still waiting on Murray. QB's like Moore, Cousins etc can win a close game, immature QB's like Murray tend to lose them on their own (USC,somewhat the Boise game) with huge mistages trying to force plays. Moments of greatness followed by moments of 92,000 ga. fans shaking their heads.
