I do recall saying last season that Kellen Moore the Best QB in Boise history would go undrafted. Boy oh boy was I chastised by Smiles/someday and company. My, do you have a selective memory, Spinny boy. I will grant you this, I was surprised that he didn't get drafted, but he'll get a chance in Detroit, which is all anyone can ask.
At least WE put our money where our mouth is. You just admitted for the world to see that you are just another one of those fans who say,Why did Boise turn down Nebraska and most recently, Arkansas? Answer = Booked solid and will only play one AQ who could possibly beat BSU once per year. Boise has one AQ booked until 2018.
"Play someone tough, Boise, just not us." Cluck, cluck, cluck. Not even enough courage to call your own AD, impressive, not.
Totally wrong, Armyman, Nebraska and Boise could not come to terms, and the Arkansas offer is a complete mystery to me, all I've seen is rumors, not the actual offer. To be honest, a lot of us hope that we will get a deal done with the Huskers, it would be awesome.Totally right, you mean. Check it out.
But the short answer is that Boise turned down those offers because they felt that they weren't fair nor sincere.
"So it comes as a bit of a surprise that athletic director Mark Coyle told the Idaho Statesman “You’re going to hear all types of names, all types of games, but that (an Arkansas game) is not on our radar.”
Boise would play anyone, anywhere, anytime? Scared crapless, that's why.
I'd say that Boise has you right where they want you. If Boise was half as bad as you claim they are, then why is this thread so long? Why did they have more players drafted this weekend than pretty much anyone?Having 6 players drafted is nice. Ohio State had 5 players drafted in the 2003 draft, the first one following their 2002 title team. However, that was junior dominated team, and they had an NFL record 14 players drafted in the 2004 draft. All in all, over 30 players from the 2002 OSU team were drafted, and numerous others signed as free agents from that team. You're bragging about six players picked in the draft? Seven times, Ohio State has had 3 or more players picked in the first round, including 5 first rounders in 2006 including AJ Hawk, Nick Mangold and Bobby Carpenter, who were solid contributors as freshmen on the 2002 team (Santonio Holmes redshirted in 2002, and early NFL entry Donte Whitner was a freshman in 2003). Hell, Ohio State was 6-7 in 2011 and still had 4 players drafted.
I'll take it. Reading your whining post is music to my ears, my friend. A sure sign that you are successfully generating respect is when a message board thread goes into dozens and dozens of pages, all filled with fans from big schools who can't stand you, and your team.If Boise has anyone right where they want them, why are they frantically shuffling from conference to conference, hoping to latch on to the "big boy" reputation, and why are you constantly whining that everyone else has to "play fair" to give Boise the advantage they currently lack so they can sit at the top of the pyramid as well?
I'd say that Boise has you right where they want you. If Boise was half as bad as you claim they are, then why is this thread so long? Why did they have more players drafted this weekend than pretty much anyone? Why have they spent more weeks in the top 25 than pretty much anyone? Why do they have so many passionate enemies? Must be doing SOMETHING right to get all of that.
Again, I take it. Thanks, Erkper.
2006 was the year that Peterson took over the coaching duties at Boise State, and is generally viewed by Bronco fans as when the page turned for them. It's like that was the year Boise State grew up. It was their 10th year as a D1 program, and the year the football program elevated itself to one of the upper echelons of the mid-major class.
That is complete Crap and you know it gr8. The SUPER COACH of the World to Boise fans was Peterson's predecessor and you well know it. When he left, people in Boise were FREAKING the Light Fantanstic.
Of course, when Jr. went on to coach the Colorado Buffs and LOST EVERYWHERE HE WENT, suddenly Boise fans turned their backs and pretended Peterson was the one all along.
Peterson is the most overrrated coach in the Country, getting by on Smoke and Mirrors just like the moron before him. Their records are nearly Mirror images of each other.
Boise hasn't grown up in the least, only more of the same garbage.
the class of 2007. Of the 29 recruits he brought on, three are still on the team for this year, and one had to retire early due to injury. So that leaves 25 recruits who have moved on in life in one way or another. Of those 25, 12 of them are currently signed on teams in the NFL. Do the math. That equates to a whopping 48% of his first recruiting class playing in the NFL.Peterson did very, very well with the class of 2007, but my math tells me 12 of 29 is not 48% gr8. Just so you know...
