Cheating a little bit for the "X".
The connection is in the artist's first name:

you people saving whales,
giving your thanks to our seas
my respect to the ones in the forest,
Standing up for our old trees

Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose, the lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares

By gods who saw fit to bestow
The gift of paradise
Peaceful and harmonious upon

Thanks, cobra.
And thank you, clean for ALWAYS keeping these threads going!
The beginning of May is always a VERY busy time for me since I took over running the Postal Food Drive more than 10 years ago.
Lots of soliciting, organizing, advertising.....but it is all definitely worth it!
People are always SO generous and next saturday is our big day!

Hi Rhino I forgot about the food drive. I remember that last year. I've written some articles about the drive for the newspaper since its  nationwide program. Soon, it will get real busy here too as it is working in a seasonal community. But I'll find some time to tap into the lyrics, although more likely in library.

This is a city in Florida

I reached out one night and you were gone
