Temple Football / (origially posted 12-28-12)

Temple is looking at Nevada OC to assume same role with the OWLS . Great move if we can get a QB who can throw the ball.

Ruhle needs to upgrade the recruiting and get away from undersized O/D Lineman who get blown off the ball . Temple needs to focus recruiting and target a player at each position every year. Daz must have been in love with LB's , Temple loaded up in '12 and again this year .

It will take a few years to build through recruiting unless Temple hires Synder (K State) as a consultant to teach them the real ropes of JUCO recruiting.

Hancock JC in Santa Maria, CA is a treasure chest of talent which is tapped every year by major programs.

LaCrosse

This weekend kicks off the '09 Lax season . M&T Bank Stadium , in Baltimore will have 30,000 fans in it watching Hopkins play Prnceton , followed by MD and Duke.

LaCrosse is the fastest growing college sport in the country, with a national reach. Northwestern has won the Female D1 Championship  two years in a row

The U of Denver , ND, Michagan and Cal all have competative teams.

Out of all the sports which CBS covers online, not one mention of this exciting growing game. We have Arena Football listed , which has suspended play for the year.

How about some coverage of the fastest game on two feet.??

Sixers Finally Get It Right

Instead of the whole team adjusting their run and gun style to Elton, they now have him coming off the bence and ajusting to what works for the team.

It would hard to uload his salary, but they need to do it for someone making 18M and playing  less the 16 minute a game.

Simply put, the 76ers are not a half court team and Elton is a half court player.

DeLeo has shown smarts returning to the stle of play , which last year got the team into the playoffs

Could It BE

After close to 30 years of futility could this actually  be the year when Philly brings home two championships?

Want to say  yes, but after all these years have to say no : ( .

Phillies

Now that the big arms are signed, the Phils need to get down and pick up an inning eatter starter. Penny went today, Lowe is still hanging out on the market.

Could it be that the Phils are actually going to take a shot at Sheets, until one of their young arms is ready?

Quaker Hoops

How the mighty two in the Ivy league have fallen. Princton has been down since Thompson left.

The Quakers? What did everyone expect when they hired a losing coach  from Brown to take over from Fran.

The 1-8 record which they now hold .
