Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon has had an up and down couple of days since Saturday's Big 12 showdown with Nebraska.  The Cowboys wide receiver continued his season-long streak of 120+ receiving yards with a 157 yard, two-touchdown performance against the Cornhuskers.  One thing Blackmon could not do was help stop Taylor Martinez and the Cornhuskers offense, and Oklahoma State eventually lost the 51-41 shootout in Stillwater.  Then Blackmon was fortunate enough to be in attendance to watch former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant put on a three-touchdown show in Dallas' losing efforts to the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.  But even that night got worse when Blackmon was arrested on the way home after the game on a DUI complaint.

Tulsa World reported Tuesday that the sophomore wide receiver and three friends were pulled over on the way back to Oklahoma on I-35 after attending the Monday night game in Arlington.  Blackmon was driving the Chevy Silverado as it was clocked going 92 mph in the 60-mph zone.  After field sobriety tests were performed on the side of the road, the officer reported that there was a detectable amount of alcohol in Blackmon's system.  Under Texas law, any minor operating a vehicle with alcohol in their system is considered driving under the influence.  For Blackmon, who does not turn 21 until January, it was poor timing to get behind the wheel.

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy has canceled all media interviews for Tuesday, and the school is expected to issue a statement in the afternoon.  Blackmon, who leads the nation in yards per game and touchdowns, is arguably the most important single piece of the Oklahoma State offense.  If this arrest leads to even a one-game suspension, it will have an immediate impact on the Cowboys' chances that week.

DUI has become routine across the NCAA.  An automatic 3 game suspension or 1 season suspension might get the athletes' attention.

you people are absolutely ignorant and pathetic!!! First, your jumping to conclusions before ANY facts have come out. And second, why I think you are all pathetic??? Cause you act like none of you have done ANYYYYYYTHING wrong in your wasted lives!!! Instead you sit on your computers and bash some 20 yr old kid who made a MISTAKE. They didnt see he was wasted. For all we know, he coulda had ONE BEER! They "detected" alcohol"....and cause hes a minor, that was enough. But we dont know anything else. So stop passing judgement and take a look at your own pathetic lives for once. You sit there and bash this kid, what, youve never been in trouble with the law for something? Never done anything wrong? Cheated? Maybe stole something small? Maaaaayyyyybeeee, drove with alcohol in your system after a nice dinner out with your wife or husband or bf or gf?!?!!? ohhh nooo!!! not you people!!! Get over yourselves

Does anybody see a pattern developing here?  Is Gundy not this great mentor/coach that everybody says he is?  Maybe he should get some type of babysitter for his WR's because obviously how he handles them isn't working.  Aren't the bigger questions (1) how he is driving a Chevy Silverado (I am sure it isn't a 1990 model) and (2) why is Gundy allowing his players to drive over 200 miles on a Monday night to attend a professional football game?  I wonder how they got those tickets??????  Investigation????

These prima donas in training think the world owes them something.  They, in a sense, have the world at there feet in terms of future opportunity and yet they go out and break the law, left and right.  I only wish schools and coachs had a ZERO tolerance policy.  ONE screwup and you are OUT.  It is that simple.  But most will just baby them and cover up for them, thus making them a felony waiting to happen.  What does it take?  When some drunk college or pro star drinks and drives and then kills about 10 people waiting for a bus?  Does it take civilian carnage and death to open their eyes that more is expected of them.  Why can't they all be like Peyton Manning?

OSU WR Blackmon arrested on DUI complaint

Can we expect Gundy to launch into another tirade, and give us another  "...come after me, because I'm a man" routine? Suspension? Can there be any doubt? Blackmon MUST by suspended immediately. The only question is if Gundy is really "man enough" to do the right thing?

OSU WR Blackmon arrested on DUI complaint

I was gonna lay some cash on Okie St (-6) at K St this week, but probably not now.  This dude is a freak, albeit an immature one.  Pretty stupid choice on his part.  He's lucky he didn't crash and die or something terrible like that.  Hopefully he learns from this.
