A lot can happen in one week.

No one can attest that more than Ole Miss and their newest quarterback Jeremiah Masoli .  In the last week the Oregon transfer gone from awaiting a waiver from the NCAA in order to  play, been denied the waiver, successfully appealed the waiver, and on Saturday took the field for the first time in a Rebels uniform.

At halftime, Masoli has completed all 3 of his pass attempts for 59 yards and run 3 times for 20 yards.  Pretty crazy that it was just a couple of days ago Masoli was looking at the possibility of having to sit out the entire season.  Masoli received the waiver because the graduate program he enrolled in at Ole Miss was not available at Oregon.

Even more impressive than Masoli's presence on the field has been the play of starting quarterback Nathan Stanley.  Stanley threw for three touchdowns and no interceptions and looked sharp and comfortable under center.  Head coach Houston Nutt has to be pleased knowing that he has two strong options at quarterback.  Jeremiah Masoli proved last year that his presence on the field can change the game, and I expect he will be utilized more and more as the season progresses.
